Remember, you've invested in RAW human hair, which means it behaves just like your natural hair! It originates from a human scalp and requires similar treatment. It's important to set realistic expectations with RAW human hair, especially with higher-maintenance textures. If not properly cared for, you may experience dissatisfaction.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU OPEN YOUR PACKAGE

Due to the wefting process, you may encounter a few loose hairs during your initial brush out and Co-wash. This is completely normal and should significantly decrease after the first few washes. With a consistent haircare routine, you can expect very little to no shedding each day. Remember, RAW hair gets better over time. It flourishes with care!

 DAILY CARE

1. Brush or comb through to style
2. Apply an alcohol-free glossing polish or hair serum for shine and frizz control as needed. Excessive product may lead to stiff hair which may cause matting and tangling. When product has build-up, it is time for a CoWash!
3. Always use heat protectant when heat styling to avoid damage. Keep in mind, excessive heat styling can alter the original wave pattern and integrity of the hair (similar to your natural hair).

TIPS FOR MAINTAINING YOUR EXTENSIONS: DO'S AND DON'TS

Use ONLY Silicone & Sulfate Free shampoos and conditioners. Silicone causes buildup and doesn't allow moisture to penetrate the hair strands. Sulfate on the other hand strips the hair of its moisture which leads to dryness of the hair.

Neglecting your daily maintenance can cause your hair to become dirty, tangled, and damaged. Taking great care of your extensions is essential for ensuring it stays in great condition and last as long as possible.

AVOID using heavy products including oils. Always use a lightweight hair serum. Using too much oil will weigh the hair down and give it a stringy and greasy look. The less product the better.

ALWAYS air dry over blow drying. The excessive heat from a blow dryer can damage the hair. Also, too much heat can lead to heat damage and hair strands breakage. Remember the hair is raw and resembles our natural strands. Add a light serum to help with the frizz if any.

Please use high end brands that has quality products! We cant stress this enough.  Remember, your hair is an INVESTMENT not an EXPENSE! the more you show your hair love, trust me it will show you love back!

BI-WEEKLY MAINTENANCE

It is very important that you deep condition your extensions, especially with curly hair. Deep conditioning helps with detangling, defining curl pattern (if any), and adds moisture to the hair that was stripped by the clarifying shampoo if you did not co-wash. You MUST retain moisture in the hair to prevent it from tangling or frizzing. We highly recommend using a rich deep conditioner with smoothing properties to reduce unwanted frizz.

Here are the steps to follow: Before we move forward, please note that shampoo can strip the natural oils in the hair, resulting in dryness and tangling which is the reason why most ladies prefer to co-wash (using conditioner only), which is perfectly fine but remember you still want to use a gentle hydrating clarifying shampoo at some point in time that will remove any and all debris.

STEPS:

[1] Divide your hair into 7-10 sections before showering or bathing.
[2] Use a wide-tooth comb or our recommended wavy hair brush to detangle each section thoroughly, starting from the ends and working your way up to the roots.
[3] Completely saturate your hair with water.
[4] Working from the bottom of your installation, use your fingers to part your hair and gather a 1-inch section, securing the rest of the installation on top of your head.
[5] Generously apply conditioner to the 1-inch section and brush through with a Denman brush, starting from the ends and moving up to the roots. Complete two passes with the Denman brush, ensuring thorough detangling from the top of the wefts to the ends.
[6] Repeat this process throughout your entire installation. By now, your hair should be completely detangled and have a good amount of slip from the conditioner. Twist your hair into a top bun or braid and let the conditioner sit for 15-20 minutes without massaging to avoid frizz.
[7] Rinse your hair thoroughly. For added waves, scrunch your hair to enhance the wave pattern or set it in rollers. Dry your hair using a cotton hair towel, microfiber towel, or t-shirt to minimize frizz caused by regular bath towels.
[8] If desired, apply a dime-sized amount of smoothing oil or glossing polish to weigh down hair strands and minimize frizz throughout the day. Allow your hair to air dry.
[9] Between installations or once a month, use an intensive hair mask or hot oil treatment to help prolong the longevity of your extensions.

MINIMUM HEAT

The purpose of wearing weave is mostly to give your natural hair a break, so please do just that. If you wear your extensions straight, wrap it with a few bobby pins at night to avoid using heat daily, and if you opt for voluminous curls, pin curls are your solution. Try to only use heat if you have too and that goes for your leave out too! You do not want a fried, burnt leave out sis! that is something we are not doing!

 BEDTIME CARE

Before bed, put hair into a high ponytail or roll into a bun to enhance wave pattern. Apply satin scarf or bonnet to reduce frizz and fly-aways. For bouncy waves, style with flexi-rods. After waking up, remove overnight protection and comb through your hair starting at the ends and working your way up to the root using the brush we highly recommend for our Wavy extensions below under our "Recommended Products". This brush works wonders! Lastly, style as needed.
